Hey, what’s up, everybody? MimiPlayz here~! 😉 🙂 😀 *smiles & waves hello* Today, I shall be providing ADVICE on customizing YOUR YouTube channel!! YAY~!!! 😀 *smiles excitedly* This includes: your profile picture, your channel art, your description, & your channel trailer! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily* I REALLY hope that this post helps some of you~! 😉 *hopeful face* Now, let’s get started on this post, shall we?
- Step #1) Profile Picture!
FIRST of all, you need to choose a PROFILE PICTURE ASAP!! 🙂 😀 *smiles excitedly* Either YOU can CREATE one YOURSELF, have SOMEBODY ELSE make it for you (this is what I am doing), or just FIND one on the internet. I actually HIGHLY suggest NOT picking a profile picture from the internet, because that means you’re using somebody else’s work. Which (USUALLY) results in the creator/owner of the picture you’re using to get angry with you and DEMAND you give them credit, you take down the profile picture, and/or something else that isn’t good. It’s DEFINITELY NOT LIKELY that they’ll be like “Oh! You’re using something I made! Okay, I’m TOTALLY fine with that!” -_- That’s VERY UNLIKELY to happen… And let’s face it, MOST people nowadays are (UNFORTUNATELY) VERY greedy & selfish… 😦 *frowns & sighs* Either way, just go find yourself a profile picture that YOU like, represents you and/or your channel, and looks cool! 🙂 *smiles* Good luck~!
- Step #2) Channel Art!
SECOND on the list, you will need to create CHANNEL ART for your YouTube channel! 🙂 *smiles* This is actually a VERY EASY step (at least, for ME it is)! Either you can: go make
your OWN channel art (this is, in MY opinion, the BEST way), have somebody you know make it for you, OR choose a channel art banner from the internet. Personally, I think that it’s BEST to create your channel art YOURSELF!! Why, you might ask? Well, if you create your own channel art, it looks EXACTLY how YOU want it to look, it’s in YOUR style, and YOU created it!! 🙂 *smiles again* I created my own YouTube channel art using the website Canva! You could (and should) use Canva, because it’s helpful & REALLY easy to use! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily* Anyway, good luck with step #2~!
- Step #3) Channel Description!
Next up, you need to come up with your YouTube channel’s description!! YAY~!!! 🙂 😀 *smiles excitedly* If you enjoy writing (like me), this step will be EXTREMELY EASY for you!! So, if you enjoy writing, CONGRATULATIONS!!! You don’t have to use too much brain cells! 🙂 XD *smiles & laughs* Lolololol! Anyway, I should tell you what you should say in your description! Hmmm… *thinking face* In your description, you should: BRIEFLY describe yourself (OPTIONAL), say what types of videos you will upload, why you started your YouTube channel (OPTIONAL but RECOMMENDED), and/or describe your goal/goals for your channel (OPTIONAL)! 🙂 *smiles* That’s all it is! Good luck with writing your channel description~! 🙂 😀 *smiles & gives you a thumbs up*
- Step #4) Channel Trailer!
Next, for Step #4, you should create a channel trailer video! 🙂 😀 *smiles excitedly* YAY~!!! You don’t NEED to have a channel trailer, but it’s VERY helpful to have! 🙂 *smiles* If you want to know about creating a channel trailer, then go to THIS LINK!! I’ve already (PREVIOUSLY) created ANOTHER YouTube Advice post about creating a channel trailer! 😉 🙂 Also, I’m going to assume that you would like to look at an example of a channel trailer! 🙂 *smiles* Go to THIS LINK, to see MY channel trailer for my personal, NEW YouTube channel! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily* Good luck with this step~!
